Urban Revitalization and Community Growth

In the heart of downtown Riverhead, a formidable transformation is underway as the $82 million Heritage on Main residential development commences. The project, strategically located at 203-213 East Main Street, embodies a significant investment in the burgeoning town’s infrastructure.

Spanning approximately 238,342 square feet, the development is set to introduce a total of 165 market-rate rental apartments. This initiative aims to address the pressing housing demand in the area.

This venture comes as a response to the increasing need for diversified housing options. The goal is to accommodate Riverhead’s evolving demographics.

With 52 studios, 80 one-bedroom, and 33 two-bedroom units, Heritage on Main is poised to attract singles, couples, and small families. This supports community engagement and encourages local economic growth. Additionally, economic incentives from the Town of Riverhead Industrial Development Agency assist in making the project more viable.

The project aligns with Riverhead’s broader urban revitalization strategy. This initiative seeks to invigorate the downtown district by improving public green spaces and amenities, such as the adaptive playground and the new town square.
